About Us

We are a new primary school situated in table View. We opened our doors on the
13 th of January 2020. We closed our school shortly after opening for several months due to the pandemic.
Schooling eventually resumed under the new normal and we returned to being a safe space for our learners. We currently have over 400 learners. We at full capacity will be a 3 stream school from Grade 1 to Grade 7.

We have been working hard since the day we opened to provide the best possible educational opportunity for our learners.
We currently do not have any sporting fields, this is an area we are looking to improve on. Our school fees are R750 per month payable from January to October.

We celebrate diversity at our school, celebrating many races, religions and cultures.
We aim to be an anti-bullying school and we will continue working hard helping each learner learn our school values.

From Our Principal

Dear Parents and Learners
I love my job and I love my school. This sentence I very regularly use. I am a fairly new principal and this is not the easiest of roles. I am however humbled by the love and spirit of the learners, staff and parents that attend Sunridge Circle. We arrived on the 13 th of January 2020 full of hopes and dreams and nothing else.

We literally did not have a chair to sit on. Since then, we have achieved some amazing things. The staff and learners that I have been blessed with had to endure months without running water and electricity. We did not let this deter us from giving the learners the best possible education that we could. It was not easy and we devoted much time and additional hours of hard work to make things happen.

We remain a small school with many challenges and structures to put in place. We will not stop pushing to better our school and our communities.
We have the passion and the drive to keep persevering and to make our school a success. This will take some time, but we will not stop.
We implement every policy as required, we learn and grow almost daily. We are not stagnant and are very much driven for the betterment of education for our children.

Like many other schools we take part in Whole School Evaluation programme every three years to make sure we hear where improvement is required form every stakeholder. From there develop the School Development Plan and finally we create the School Improvement plan which is an
annual document we undertake to implement. This is monitored and regular feedback is given to Education Department as well as the parent body.

We are here to serve and to deliver a quality education to every child that enters this school. I have no doubt that we will not succeed.

Yours in Education.

Our School

Facilities

We at this stage find ourselves in prefabricated buildings. We do not have sporting facilities at this time. It is however a dream for us and will be something the school TOGETHER WITH Western Cape Education will work towards.
We have running water and electricity.
We are also looking at improving our schools internet and access to technology in the classrooms.
This is an area we are limited to what funding allows us to do, we this rely on parent’s payment of school fees.
We are not sure when building will commence for the actual permanent building structure. This authority lies with the department of education.
Every Term we make it our mission to purchase resources, these resources vary from reading books, to sporting equipment, posters and any other resource needed for effective teaching and learning.
